International Youth Day 2023

THE UNITED NATIONS and the UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION OF THE PHILIPPINES INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2023
The UNITED NATIONS and the UNITED NATIONS ASSOCIATION of the PHILIPPINES in partnership with the CATHOLIC WOMEN'S LEAGUE
DIOCESE OF LEGAZPI and in cooperation with the DOMINICAN LAITY, ST. RAYMOND PEÑAFORT COMMUNITY, Legazpi City, successfully conducted the "INTERNATIONAL
YOUTH DAY" on August 12, 2023 at 1:00- 7:00 pm at the Concourse Convention Center, Legazpi City, with the Theme: "Green Skills for Youth Towards a Sustainable World."
The INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY CELEBRATION was attended by 290 participants, 250 of whom were Junior and Senior High School students from two DIVISIONS, NAMELY, Legazpi City, broken down into 12 High Schools of the DepEd, Legazpi City Division and 4 High Schools of the Albay Division and the rest are private schools. It started with a Eucharistic Celebration, followed by a Program with significant Topics discussed by Expert Speakers relevant to the Theme, and ended with an Oratorical Contest with 17 Junior and Senior High School Contestants, who orated on a common Oratorical Piece: "Young People's Contribution to the Attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals."
After the Contest, all the Contestants were given 10 dollars each by Mr. Ric Cruz, the President, UNAP. Only the top three (3) Places were declared WINNERS by the Chairman, Board of Judges. Each Winner received a Plaque of Commendation, Medal and Cash Prize. Photo ops followed with the Contestants, the UNAP Board, the CWL and the Dominican Laity, The student- Participants with the respective teachers and Coaches.
